DWMA - Kaden Ryuken

So having made it into DWMA at long last, my first act is to rush an image out for a contest that ends in an hour. I'm surprised that it turned out as well as it did.

So for the character Kaden would be, he'd be based upon either Ryu or Ken from Street Fighter, since, well, he is a fighting type, and the Aura Sphere (which he can't use) would be a good substitute for the Hadouken. Where his design differs, however, is that, instead of wearing Ryu or Ken's clothing, he's wearing the gi that he personally owns from his time as a student in his grandfather's dojo. The logo sewn into the back of his gi is the symbol of the Allegor Dojo, which shows a gathering of aura into a circle, representing the path to tranquility and true strength, while the eight lines around the circle represent the eight qualities that a true fighter must have to reach this higher skill level. A student who has obtained a black belt in the dojo is one who has not only mastered the martial arts necessary to defend oneself and others but also understands these eight qualities and has the potential and desire to use their true strength to uphold justice and peace. Kaden earned this title shortly before his grandfather took ill, and because of the circumstances that followed, it was not until the day before Kaden left for DWMA that he was given his belt and black-trimmed gi, as one of several final gifts from his grandfather before his journey to the school.

...Huh, I wasn't expecting this to turn backstory-ish.

EDIT: Darnit, as soon as I take a second look after uploading, I realize that his gi looks like a one-piece jumpsuit, because I forgot to add any flaps below the belt. =3= Well, I'll have to remember that the next time I draw the gi, assuming that there'll be a next time.
